Can You Really Trust Ecig Recommendations on Social Media?

As the old saying goes, “Birds of a feather flock together.” There’s a lot of wisdom to that saying because we tend to like people who have the same interest as us. We also tend to like people who are very similar to us. Maybe they have the same values. Perhaps they like doing the same things. Possibly, they have the same hobbies. Given the similarity, it shouldn’t be a surprise that they tend to be interested in the same things.

So, if you’re looking for a new hair salon, it’s a very normal thing to go with the recommendation of your friend because chances are your friend probably has the same hairstyle as you or looks somewhat similar to you.

Not surprisingly, a lot of us ask for fashion tips and other advice from our friends. Maybe they have a job lead. Perhaps they know of a good accountant. Possibly, they’re going to a good doctor. So, friends are always a great source of referrals.

Here’s the problem.

Friend Referrals and Recommendations Can Only Go So Far

If I’m excited about a product that I use, it doesn’t necessarily mean that it would be the best product for you. It may well be the best product for me because it fits my needs; it fits my budget; it plugs into my whole lifestyle. You may be looking for the same result but not necessarily the same product.

This is what gets lost in friend recommendations. People are all pump about the product they bought because it produced a certain result for them. However, that result may be specific to them. It may not fit with your situation. There might be a disconnect between your set of needs and the outcome that referred product or referred service providers bring to the table.

People don’t get this so it’s not unusual for people to ask on Facebook for referrals for accountants, doctors, lawyers, blenders, even cars and then before you know it, people flood their friends with a recommendation. This seems great and everything because at least it shows that your friends care.

The problem is if you’re going to be spending all that money on a product, it’s a good idea to make sure that it is the best product for you. It must fit your lifestyle and your expectations. At the very least, it must fit your needs.

This is where most products recommendations fall apart. Again, it goes back to this very simple observation. What’s best for somebody maybe all the best for somebody else because we’re all different. If that isn’t obvious enough, we all have different needs; we have different expectations; we have different experiences, and all these differences do add up.

While we get along well with our friends and we love our friends, there are differences. The mere reason we have friends in the first place is that they have these differences that they bring to the table. A bit of variety goes a long way.

However, unless you choose to become fully aware of these differences, they may get in the way of you getting your money’s worth because your friend might be convinced that the ecig brand he uses is the best thing since sliced bread. You try it out and the best reaction anybody can get from you is “meh.” What went wrong?

Well, it really all boils down to how you took your friend’s recommendations. You have to view it in context.

For example, if you have a friend who’s very big on vaping and this person basically just vapes all day every day and looks like a walking fog bank or fog machine, you know that the recommendation you get from that person is for a heavy-duty product. This is a person who has a heavy usage requirement and he is naturally going to pick out brands and models that can deliver that heavy-duty result.

What if you are a casual vaper? What if you rarely get ecig juices or an e-juice package lasts you a long time? Your heavy-duty friend‘s recommendation might be overkill. The brand and model they recommend might actually set you back quite a bit of money. You may be thinking that you’re paying for quality and durability, but you may want to think again. You may be overpaying for something that doesn’t really match your usage requirements.

The opposite is also true if your friend is a light user and gets you excited about a particular brand and model that specializes in moderate use, and you are a heavy ecig user, there’s a serious disconnect.

Pay Attention to Who Makes the Recommendation

The first thing that you need to do is to get out from under brand identity. I understand why people are excited about brands. After all, it isn’t easy to come up with a solid brand in a very competitive field like electronic cigarettes.

A manufacturer who is able to establish enough renown to be considered a brand must be doing something right. They must be producing products that withstand the test of time. They must be able to produce products that give people the experiences that they’re looking for. In other words, they are a solid operation.

However, just because this is true, it doesn’t necessarily mean that a specific brand is right for you. This is where a lot of consumers trip up.

I mean, Mercedes Benz is a solid brand. Nevertheless, it is also obvious that Mercedes is not the best car for everybody.

First, there’s the budget issue.

Then, there’s the personal values issue. Maybe you’re not really big on showing people that you have a Mercedes.

There’s also the upkeep or maintenance issue. If you think getting your oil and filter changed at your dealer sets you back quite a bit of money, wait until there’s a Mercedes, BMW, or Porsche logo on your car.

Just because a product has a solid brand doesn’t necessarily mean that it’s the best for all people concerned. It definitely doesn’t mean that it’s the best option for all consumers.

The same applies to electronic cigarettes. You have to look at who is recommending the product for you. Just judging from how much you know of their electronic usage habits, see if there is a fit between your situation and theirs. If there is, then chances are their recommendation probably makes sense.

Ask Questions about How They Made a Recommendation

Some people recommend things because they’ve actually used the product. A lot of people, on the other hand, make recommendations just because they want to help out a friend. This means that they may be recommending something that they haven’t personally used. You can tell immediately that this is going to be a problem.

It’s one thing to hear good things about a product and it’s another to actually experience it directly. Let me tell you, nothing beats the first-hand experience and this should be your standard when looking for recommendations.

You need to ask them politely and gently but you need to get straight to the point. Ask them, in so many words and in so many ways, “Do you have first-hand experience with this brand and model? Did you use it before? What kind of conditions do you use? How much of an electronic cigarette user are you?”

Once you have the answers to these questions, it makes your decisions so much easier. However, if you don’t even bother to ask these questions, then you’re basically going to have to settle for whatever you can get and, let me tell you, you should expect the worst. At the very least, you end up overpaying for a product. At worst, you end up with a product that you have to replace sooner rather than later.

None of these situations is good. It all hits your personal bottom line. Sure, you may be thinking that you’re just out $50 now but, let me tell you, that $50 can add up quickly if you find yourself switching electronic cigarette brands and modes on an almost monthly basis.

You could have spent that $200, $300, or $600 on something else. Do you see how this works? Opportunity costs are real so you have to be very careful when asking for product recommendations from social media or elsewhere.

Can You Buy Ecig E-Liquid on Brand Alone?

Let’s get one thing clear. There are lots of products on the market that people buy on brand power alone. If you don’t believe me, when was the last time that you came across a friend or relative who bought a car just because it was a BMW, a Porsche or a Mercedes Benz? I’ll bet you that you know at least one person who buys products based on brand alone.

In fact, if you tell people that you bought yourself or someone you know a Hermes bag, I’m sure that you’ll get their attention. Hermes, after all, is a powerhouse brand in the world of luxury handbags and leather goods. That’s how powerful brands can be.

It’s easy to think that since you’re looking for ecig or e-cigarette accessories or consumables like e-liquid cartridges, that brand isn’t all that important. It’s easy to think this way because you can easily dismiss these items a; commodities. After all, when you go through one e-liquid package and moved on to the next, you’re probably just looking at the price or you’re looking at a specific flavor blend that is “close enough.”

Well, let me tell you since you are going to be shopping for something that you are going to be ingesting into your body, it’s probably a good idea to be a bit more discriminating. Despite surface appearances, e-liquid packages are actually quite different from each other. A lot of this turns on which company manufactures that product.

Believe it or not, just because you are looking through several liquid packages that have the same color, the same smell, and the same general taste, it doesn’t necessarily mean that all of these products are one and the same.

You shouldn’t develop the mindset that if you’ve seen one e-liquid product, you have pretty much seen them all. If you were to think that way, you are probably going to waste a lot of money. You have to understand that e-liquid formulations are very different from each other.

It doesn’t matter if they are supposed to be the same flavor. It doesn’t matter if they look very similar to each other. Even the viscosity or texture and flow of the liquid may look very similar or even uniform but it all goes back to a core difference. What difference am I talking about? I’m talking about the experience you get when you use this product.

You have to be very careful because some brands do an amazing job of blending the right e-liquid the right way every single time. They’ve developed a trustworthy brand because you can rely on them for consistent quality.

Unfortunately, this can’t be said across the board. There’s a reason why e-liquids have certain brands. There’s a reason why people seek out these brands.

Let me tell you, they’re not looking to pay extra for these branded products because they have nothing else better to do with their money. They’re not doing that because they’re made out of money. They’re doing that because they know that they are going to get a certain value for their hard-earned money. So should you.

If you think that e-liquids are basically just commodities and there’s really not much difference between them, you haven’t really been enjoying the vapor that you’re drawing from your electronic cigarette. That’s really the bottom line because the e-liquid formulation that you get really differs from manufacturer to manufacture.

Nobody can say that there is a one-size-fits-all or some sort of cookie-cutter choice that is good for all people. Everybody is different. All e-cigarette or ecig users have their own personal preferences. This is why it’s really important for them to seek the very best product based on their personal preferences.

If, for example, you like strawberry flavor, doesn’t it make sense to find the very best strawberry-flavored e-liquid? The only person who can find that ultimate product is you. Two people may like strawberry. They might have that shared preference.

However, when it comes down to it, they will pay attention to different factors. Some people don’t want an aftertaste. Other people like nice, strong nicotine hit when they ingest that vapor. Others are looking for that nice flavor in their mouth right before they exhale.

There are different considerations here. The bottom line is by looking at these differences or looking for these differences, you are able to identify brands that would work for you. That’s the bottom line. You want to look for brands that would produce the kind of experience you’re looking for consistently.

This is very hard to do if you’re just basically going with other people’s recommendations or you’re buying your e-liquids based on what’s hot or what made it to the bestseller list of the online store you use.

You have to make sure that it fits your lifestyle. Everybody is different. Everybody is entitled to their own specific blend and specific flavor.

Unfortunately, when you ignore this, you’re basically selling yourself short. What you’re saying to people looking to sell you ecig-related products is “Just give me what you have.” Does that make any sense?

When you go to a grocery store, do you just say to the staff there, “Just give me whatever food you have available”? Of course not! Maybe you’re looking for bread. It doesn’t mean that they’re going to serve you crusty or moldy bread. Obviously, you’re looking for the very best or at least the best that you could afford.

That should be your mindset. When picking among these different brands, please understand that you’re not just looking at a difference in a logo. You’re not just looking at a difference in the name of the company. There’s a lot going on behind those surface differences.

What’s So Different among Ecig Liquid Brands

How different can these products be? It all boils down to the formulation. Different e-liquids have different fillers and combination compounds. These are added to nicotine. You may think that they’re just adding alcohol or some other basic everyday compound.

However, there are many ways you can come up with these formulations. Even small differences in the proportions or ratios of these ingredients can have a big impact on the overall flavor of the liquid that you are going to be inhaling.

Please understand that you’re going to be putting this in your mouth. You’re going to be savoring this. You’re looking for flavor. This is part of your lifestyle.

Doesn’t it make sense for you to invest a few hours of your time to find the very best brand that will deliver the flavor profile and aftertaste component that best fits your preferences? Once you have found that brand, then it’s time well spent because you can reliably order that brand over and over again and not have to suffer an unpleasant surprise.

Unfortunately, if you think that e-liquids or ecig liquid packages are basically commodities with no difference among them, you’re going to be playing Russian roulette with your electronic cigarette. That’s really the best way I can frame it. No other description can even come close.

Just like Russian roulette, you don’t know what you’re going to get. Sometimes, you’re going to have a good experience. Sometimes it’s going to be in an unpleasant experience. If you don’t like e-liquids that pack aftertaste, that’s exactly the kind of risk that you’re running if you don’t do advanced research regarding specific brands.

Understand that Brands Have Specific Audiences

You may be thinking that if you come across a brand behind an e-liquid that you don’t like, that brand sucks. Think again. Just because it tastes nasty or is not all that pleasant, it doesn’t mean that the product doesn’t have an audience. Obviously, the company behind it is producing it to make money. The fact that this product exists means that there’s enough people out there ordering it.

So, don’t be too quick to dismiss specific brands behind certain products. What’s important is you look for a product that makes sense to you. Once you are able to find that product with that specific flavor profile, look for its brand.

Ask around and do some test buys. See if the company behind the e-liquid or ecig liquid is consistent. If all the e-liquid packages you buy from them taste the same, look the same and vaporize the same, then you’ve got yourself a steady provider. You know that this brand is trustworthy, dependable, and can withstand the test of time.

It may seem that you took a lot of time looking for this brand but, believe me, given what could go wrong and given how random the market could be, that’s time well spent. You no longer have to chase down or take a risk with other brands. As long as you know the brand that you’re going to order and the place you’re going to buy it from, you no longer have to worry about the flavor and the experience your e-liquid brings to the table.

Brands are Important. It takes quite a bit of attention to detail and time and patience to find the right one. The search process is definitely a worthwhile investment of your time and effort.

How Do You Know if an Electronic Cigarette Brand is Legit?

How Do You Know if an Electronic Cigarette Brand is Legit?

Let’s get one thing clear. There are lots of electronic cigarette brands currently on the market. It seems that every single month, there are more and more brands entering the market. There seems to be no limit to this. This is due to the fact that places like China continue to crank out electronic cigarettes in volume.

Please understand that the typical electronic cigarette brand it doesn’t produce its units in the United States, Europe, or Canada. In most cases, these pieces of hardware are sourced from the world’s factory. I am, of course, talking about China.

It’s not a surprise to learn that a lot of the big brands out there from Maxx, Juul, Tesla, Jak, White Cloud, Smok, Halo, Volcano, Blu, Hoosier, and Logic are either completely made or partly made in China. Why should this concern you?

Common Concerns about Important Electronic Cigarettes

The bottom line regarding imported electronic cigarettes is that it has nothing to do with China per se. There are lots of high-quality products made in China. The typical iPhone, for example, is made by Foxconn in Southern China. Foxconn, of course, is a manufacturing subcontractor for Apple.

The issue is not so much whether the product ultimately comes from China but the manufacturing processes involved. This is a big deal because when you buy an Apple iPhone, you can bet that Apple engineers are guiding Foxconn manufacturing engineers every step of the way.

All the manufacturing details from the specifications of the products itself as well as the actual machines that are being used to produce iPhones have to be approved by Apple. Apple’s overall manufacturing DNA is all over the iPhone regardless of the fact that it was assembled and manufactured in China using Chinese parts and labor. That’s one way to manufacture a product.

On the other hand, Apple could have easily chosen a partner that basically designed and manufactured the iPhone under a Chinese in-house brand. The only value that Apple added is to put its logo on the final product. It could have easily gone that way.

What’s the big deal? What is the difference?

It All Boils Down to Control

When you outsource any kind of manufacturing to China, you can adopt either of the models described above.

You can either use a very intensive outcome-driven manufacturing philosophy that basically obsesses about the nitty-gritty of the manufacturing process. This means that everything that goes into the final product from its screws to its inner chassis all the way to the software involved has to have the blessing and approval of the company behind the brand that will ultimately be put on the final product.

On the other hand, you can buy a product that, for all intents and purposes, was produced by a Chinese company from the ground up. They made all the decisions regarding its design. They handled all the products and internal components. They have the final and ultimate voice on the operations of everything that went into the product.

The only difference is once this material is imported into the United States, a brand was imprinted on the product along with printed materials. In this context, you’re essentially getting a fully Chinese product made by a third party and the brand is an afterthought.

Again, I’m not dismissing the quality of the ultimate product. It may well turn on that the purely Chinese electronic cigarette, vape pen, or any other kind of ecig equipment or supplemental equipment or accessory may meet world standards. This electronic cigarette or vaping device that you bought might be the best things since sliced bread. That may well be the case. However, the problem is control.

Custom Manufacturing Maximizes Control

Why obsess about control in the first place. When you have full control over the way a product is designed, manufactured, and handled, chances are you can also control the output of that product. In other words, the experience of people using that product in a range of circumstances can be controlled.

If you care about your brand, you have to obsess about that. You have to make sure that in all sorts of circumstances, people using your contract manufactured product will have a happy result. This means that your brand will continue to be popular. This means that people will pay a premium for your brand. This means that your brand will continue to be successful.

Of course, none of this is guaranteed. Even Apple had a tough time because when they rolled out a version of the iPhone, it turned out that when people put it in their back pocket, that initial version of the Apple bent really easily. The chassis was very soft.

However, outside of those initial design slip-ups, Apple’s highly intensive contract manufacturing arrangement with their supplier in China turned out well. The Apple iPhone is a cash cow to Apple Computers.

Electronic cigarette manufacturing can definitely take this form. The great thing about electronic cigarettes’ designed and manufactured with this high amount of attention to detail is that the brand behind the electronic cigarette or vape pen or any other kind of electronic cigarette device can pretty much guarantee a specific experience or outcome. As you can well imagine, these brands would want to command a premium.

The Gray Area

Unfortunately, everything else can be a gray area. It really all boils down to the kind of quality the ultimate manufacturer is capable. _____ consideration, there is no shortage of electronic cigarette brands as well as supplements like ecig tags and accessories where the quality is a question mark.

For every manufacturer who could produce high-quality electronic cigarettes that can withstand the test of time and can handle quite a bit of wear and tear as well as abuse, there are many others who are basically going through the motions. They come up with a product that looks like an electronic cigarette, handles like one, can be used like one but, ultimately, falls apart sooner rather than later.

This is going to be a problem if you spent top dollar on your device. This won’t be as much of a headache if you barely spent any money at all. The problem is how do you know which is which?

It all boils down to the Base Manufacturer

As the consumer reviewing all this information, how do you make sure that you buy the right product in the right circumstances to produce the right outcome? This is, by no means, transparent because there are many electronic cigarettes as well as ecig products and accessories out there that may have seemingly independent brands.

However, it turns out that they’re actually just buying from the same ultimate manufacturer. This manufacturer would come up with a base design and the brands would basically just slap on their branding logo or icon on the final product. If you were to take that out, the underlying electronic cigarette or device pretty much looks the same across the board.

This might seem pretty straightforward but you’d be surprised as to how much these products can vary in terms of pricing. It seems like some sort of rip-off. It seems like they’re trying to pull a fast one on you.

That may well be the case in certain situations but not exactly across the board. There may not be fraud involved. In many cases, brands do this because they’re just drop-shipping.

How to Avoid Drop-Shippers

Don’t get me wrong. I’m not saying that all drop-shippers of electronic cigarette products, may they be ecig pipe suppliers or accessory sources like providers of ecig tanks and e-liquids, may be decent. They may really care about customer service. They may really be truly concerned about the actual experiences of people using their products.

But be that as it may, when you deal with any kind of drop-shipping arrangement, you’re basically at the mercy of the ultimate manufacturer. If they are just looking for a quick buck, then it’s too bad for you that your ecig purchase didn’t last all that long. I mean what should you expect? It’s not like you paid top dollar for it.

At least this is how a lot of these drop-shippers think. They think that since they’re charging such a low price that people shouldn’t really expect all that much from their purchase.

There’s a lot going for that type of thinking because, as the old saying goes, if you pay peanuts, expect to get monkeys. In other words, you get what you pay for. This was true yesterday; it’s definitely true today; and will probably continue to be the case long into the future.

Unfortunately, it sucks to figure this out on a firsthand basis. You don’t want to learn this lesson, as vital as it may be, the hard way. So, how do you know?

Look for Drop-Ship Indicators

The best way to know is to ask the ecig supplier if they’re actually manufacturing the product. Look for any indication of manufacture in the United States or elsewhere. If the website says that everything is made in the United States or assembled in the United States, you are in a good place.

If the website doesn’t say this, ask them directly, “Where are you getting these materials? Where are the parts coming from? Where is this stuff being assembled? Who will back up the quality of the ultimate product?” If they can’t give you a straight answer, don’t do business with that brand. It’s that plain and simple.

Also, be proactive. Ask the potential supplier if they’re actually getting this stuff manufactured for them or whether they’re just drop-shipping. Depending on the answer they give you, you should have follow-up questions ready.

If they are just drop-shipping, this may not necessarily be a deal killer. This just tells you that you should be more proactive regarding information about the ultimate manufacturer. Do they have a track record of producing high-quality materials? Do they have a lot of complaints filed against them? Are there currently lawsuits against that ultimate manufacturer?

If the company is drop-shipping, what about the product would they guarantee? Can they guarantee operations? Can they provide the normal warranties provided under US law? What is the extent of their liability?

Similarly, if the company said that they have their own designs and they had it contract-manufactured, look into that. Explore what kinds of design parameters were involved.

The Bottom Line

The bottom line is simple. You can’t be lazy. You can’t just assume that since somebody is selling you a product that there’s really not much you could do about it.

Believe it or not, there’s a lot you can do about it. You can choose not to do business with them once and for all. That’s the best way to send out a clear message. Alternatively, you can ask the right questions with the right operations so you can get in touch with the right source. There’s a lot you can do about the situation.

It is not something that you passively accept. It is not something that you can just lay down and take. If that does happen, please understand that it’s because you’ve chosen to handle things that way. Believe me, you’re probably going to have to live with the consequences of your decision.

So, do yourself a big favor. If you don’t want to regret your purchase and if you want to get the most value out of the things that you’re buying, ask the right questions. Be a bit more proactive. Take it to the next level. At the very least, look at online reviews and put it all together.

Please understand that bad news travels so much faster than good news. If for whatever reason the manufacturer screwed up, people will know. Most importantly, people will let other people know about it.

Armed with this information, do your best in doing due diligence. You may be saying that you’re not going to do all of this for something that costs less than $50 but, think about it, if you buy one e-cigarette after another because the product that you bought previously somehow some way isn’t up to the job, you can easily go through hundreds of dollars’ worth of faulty equipment.

That’s something that you don’t have to go through. You worked hard for your money. Isn’t it time that you gave your money the proper value it deserves? It’s your choice.

The Right Way and the Wrong Way to Read Ecig Reviews

The Right Way and the Wrong Way to Read Ecig Reviews

Make no mistake if you are looking for a new ecig or you are still unsure about using electronic cigarettes, it’s very easy to get a bum steer. You can’t believe everything you read on the Internet.

There are lots of reviews that supposedly clue you in on the best electronic cigarettes. They even talk a good game about the great brands out there like Halo ecig, Volcano ecig, Blue cig, and Hoosier ecig, and many others.

They seem to know what they’re talking about. After all, they keep dropping all these brand names to establish their legitimacy and credibility. It’s too easy to trust these reviews and end up buying the wrong product. Believe me, this happens quite a bit.

The problem with a lot of reviews online, and I’m not just talking about electronics cigarette reviews here, this can apply to pretty much any kind of product you find on the web is the issue of conflict of interest.

What is a Conflict of Interest?

A conflict of interest involves people reading a piece of information online and believing that whoever wrote that material has their best interest in mind. It’s very easy to figure out what your interest is. You’re interested in making sure that you pick the right ecig brand and model for your needs.

Maybe you’ve done a lot of reading and you know full well that electronic cigarettes are much healthier for you than traditional cigarettes. After all, when you smoke a cigarette, you’re essentially using a cancer stick.

I know that people use that term as a sarcastic putdown of cigarettes, but the term really applies. It’s really accurate. How come? When you burn anything to create smoke and you inhale that smoke, you produce tar.

Whenever tar is in the picture, all bets are off as far as your health goes. Tar contains hundreds of harmful compounds. Typical cigarette smoke contains hundreds of biochemical compounds and many of these have been proven to cause cancer. Nicotine is the least of your worries.

I know that a lot of critics of ecigs like to point out that these devices are used to consume nicotine and since nicotine has been tied to cancer in some studies that this means that ecigs automatically are bad news.

Not quite. You can choose not to load liquids into your ecigs that vaporize into nicotine-containing water vapor. You can just use flavored liquids. There are nicotine-free ecig liquids on the market, believe it or not. So, that argument doesn’t hold anymore.

Still, if you are convinced that you want to stay away from the carbon monoxide and the hundreds of harmful compounds contained in smoke, you’re probably very eager to find an electronic cigarette. At the back of your head, you’re sold so you’re basically just needing a gentle push in one direction or the other.

This is the point in time where a lot of people check the Internet for online reviews. They’re thinking that since these reviews are out there and a lot of these are targeted to a specific brand, that these reviews are necessarily telling the truth.

When you look at these reviews and you scan them and then you read them again, it’s very easy to get taken. It’s very easy to be convinced that these reviews actually aim to get you the very best product for your money.

Most of the time, that’s not happening. Most of the time, these reviews are actually pushing one particular brand and model over others. It doesn’t matter whether they line up these brands together. It doesn’t matter what kind of data they throw on a page or try to convince you into believing.

At the end of the day, these reviews are not really reviews at all. They are essentially ads. They want you to buy one product and one product alone.

This is a serious problem because remember why you looked up these product reviews in the first place? Remember your needs? Remember your interest? None of that it is part of the picture as far as the review writers are concerned.

This is a classic conflict of interest. The bottom line is you are interested in maximizing the amount of value you get for every hard-earned dollar you spend on an ecig device. That’s all you’re interested in. Period.

The producers of these reviews, on the other hand, are interested only in separating you from your hard-earned money. They don’t care if the product they are promoting to you is actually the very pest for your needs. They don’t care whether you waste money. They don’t care whether this product even works as advertised.

All they care about is getting you to buy the product they are promoting because you believed in their review. You have to understand how this dynamic plays out; otherwise, you will become a victim to it again and again and again.

How to Read Ecig Reviews Without Getting Scammed

The first thing you need to do is to look at the overall presentation of the information. Are they presenting all items in an equal light? Are they giving you the impression that regardless of which product you pick, you will be making the right choice?

If you get that impression, close that tab or window and do another research on Google. You found yourself on the wrong website. Please understand that there is no such thing as equality among products.

If we’re going to be intellectually honest, there will always be advantages and disadvantages among all products. You can line these up. You can quantify these. You can make informed decisions based on these disparities.

There’s no such thing as equality among products because they’re made by different companies. These companies have different aims. These companies have different research and development budgets. These companies are operating from different business plans. In other words, there are a lot of differences out there and these differences should be reflected in the overall quality as well as the feature sets of their products.

Unfortunately, if you don’t get this impression, this means that the person who wrote the review doesn’t really care about nuances. They don’t really care about going into the nitty-gritty of the features of these electronic cigarettes. They definitely don’t care about whether one particular design has an impact on the life of ecig batteries. They don’t explore the impact of different brands and models as far as ecig juice usage and ecig tanks’ durability go. These are not even part of the conversation or even part of the consideration you’re supposed to process.

Instead, they want you to look past the importance of electronic cigarette’s oils as well as the intrinsic value of the ecig pipe involved in the product. In many cases, they just want you to focus on one thing and one thing alone. I am, of course, talking about the price.

Price is a Lousy Indicator of Quality

What if I told you that something that’s very expensive doesn’t necessarily mean that it’s a luxury item or that it’s a particularly good item? This flies in the face of a lot of conventional wisdom because the thinking is if a company is going to put out a product that it’s trying to charge a premium for, there’s going to be a good reason for why this product costs so much more than competing products.

It may well turn out that a product that is mass-produced and can look cheap actually delivers a far more solid value when it comes to your electronic cigarette needs. This is why it’s really important to focus on the right features. You also have to focus on what your actual needs are.

Begin and End with What’s Important for You

If you’re not asking yourself, “What’s in it for me?” you are just preparing yourself to get ripped off many times over. That’s the bottom line. I know it sounds harsh and I know it sounds uncharitable, but it’s also true. You’re leaving yourself vulnerable to all sorts of scams, misrepresentations, and bait-and-switch games.

If you are a responsible consumer and you truly value the amount of time, effort, and sacrifice you went through to earn your money, you would be more vigilant. You would not have any time for such sales shenanigans.

This is why you should always come back to one central question that will shine a light on the information that you will find on the Internet and help you make the right decision again and again.

What question should you always kick around in your head? “What’s in it for me?” When you ask this question, you remind yourself that your interests are the most important. You’re not interested in what other people are saying. You’re not interested whether this brand and model has a long track record of being highly acclaimed and respected in the industry.

While these are all important, at the end of the day, they only interest that matters is yours. You’re the one who worked for your money. You’re the one who’s going to be using this device. You’re the one who’s going to have to live with the consequences of your decisions. It’s high time that you give this question all the respect and importance it deserves.

Sadly, a lot of customers read online reviews of electronic cigarettes and they sidetracked by awards, how many bloggers prefer a particular product. They get taken in by all the “social proof.” Before you know it, they buy into a fantasy. That’s really what it boils down to.

A lot of brands out there are hyped up. I know this is not the kind of thing somebody should be saying, especially if they’re trying to sell something to you, but this is also the absolute truth.

Let’s take a look at the world of automotive products. There are a lot of cars out there that are very well made. In terms of experience, in terms of overall quality, durability, and service performance, these cars are indistinguishable from Mercedes Benz or BMW automobiles.

Unfortunately, they cost way less than these well-recognized brands. Do you see the difference? The reason BMW and Mercedes, as well as Porsche, can charge a lot more money for essentially the same product experience is because of social proof.

When you ask yourself, “What’s in it for me?” you go beyond social proof. You focus on one crucial thing: How to get the most value without paying any money. In other words, you’re looking to invest as little as possible into our purchase while walking away with the most value.

You may be thinking that this is too much to expect or it’s too good to be true. If you know what to look for and you know how to do proper online research for products like electronic cigarettes, you will come to this spot again and again.

It doesn’t matter what platform you check. Maybe you check EcigExpress. Perhaps you have gone shopping at Ecig Avenue or even spent some time at the Ecig Crib. Regardless of where you go, if you know what to look for and you’re intent on maximizing the value you want for yourself, you will never go wrong.

The Bottom Line about Reading Ecig Reviews

The bottom line is simple. If you have the right questions, then you will be able to filter the different answers online promoters and online publishers will throw your way. Believe me, they will throw a lot of content your way.

After all, on the Internet, over two million pieces of new content are published every day. That’s information overload. Sure, most of these are not ecig-related, but even if you segment the tiny portion that is related to ecigs and you project that over the course of a whole month, you’re still left with a significant amount of content.

It’s information overload and, unfortunately, if you don’t know what to look for in terms of electronic cigarettes and everything related to them, it’s too easy to find the wrong product, buy it, and regret your decision.

If you truly want to maximize the value of the money you worked so hard for when buying electronic cigarettes, follow the tips above. At the very least, always ask yourself, “What’s in it for me?” In the context of online product reviews, change this question to “How do I get the most value while spending the least amount of money possible?”

Guided by these questions, you will never end up with the wrong product. You will never end up with an electronic cigarette or a vape pen that you use only once or twice a month. Instead, you will end up with something that you can use over and over again with full confidence. You will get maximum enjoyment and relaxation each and every time you use it.

The choice, of course, is yours. Choose wisely.
